ALUMINUM

Aluminium is a great ductile metal that is able to resist corrosion. It is soft, light, and nonmagnetic that has advantage on applying on the parallel plate capacitor. It is also a common element in Earth, which makes producing the material without massive expense. Aluminium will be used on both surface of parallel plate capacitors and the AgCl electrodes. 

CERAMICS

Ceramics have well known property of an electricity insulator, which best fits for the outer cover for a parallel plate capacitor. In order to conduct only electricity flowing inside the plant, the capacitor should poorly conduct exterior electricities. Also, ceramics are hard and strong in compression, which would not break easily.

Film capacitors are usually made up with polystyrene, polycarbonate, and teflon. The main advantage of this capacitor is that it operates well under conditions of high temperature, have long service life and high reliability. There are basically two types of film capacitors: rectangular metalized film (left) and cylindrical film (right). Metalized foil capacitors have self healing properties and apply to thinner dielectric films. Since foil capacitors are sensitive, it will be used in plate capacitors for precise measurement of voltages (V).

These fellows are for connecting parallel plate capacitor and the (+) / (-) pole batteries.
